Forever Ago Achievements

Quick Answer

Story unlocks, optional interactions and collection goals. Use the relevant chapter route and on-screen prompts to work through these objectives without confusing optional actions with story progression.

Forever Ago has 29 achievements on Epic Games Store, worth a combined 1,000 XP. Completing the story gives you several milestones, but full completion also requires optional photographs, selfies, rest stops, vignettes, character interactions, and small activity challenges. Start checking these while you play: finishing the main objectives alone does not complete the achievement list.

The most useful plan is to separate tasks that belong to one location from tasks that span several locations. Photograph the opening bedroom before advancing, explore Karl's Pump 'n' Mart and Highway Star Diner carefully, and give the abandoned resort a full search before taking the boat. Use the lists below to identify the missing action without treating every achievement as a story objective.

The complete achievement list

The XP values below are Epic Games Store values. They are not PlayStation trophy grades. Requirements describe the action to complete; an achievement name by itself can be misleading, especially Petal Collector, which asks for all vignettes rather than an inventory of ordinary flowers.

Separate story milestones from extra actions

Several descriptions correspond to Alfred's road trip itself: stocking up, finding a reason to continue, naming Doggo, visiting the lighthouse, carving the tree, and reaching the destination. These are useful indicators of where you are in the narrative. You do not need to turn their wording into a separate collectible search.

Other achievements sit alongside the main route. At Karl's Pump 'n' Mart, getting the supplies needed for the journey does not mean you bought every optional product. At the resort, playing Guardian Lord satisfies a story activity even if you fail to beat the record; the achievement specifically requires the high score. Read the extra condition before leaving, because the next objective may become available before the trophy condition is satisfied.

A third group involves repeated actions or complete sets. Picture Perfect is a photo count, Self-Portrait Photography is a selfie count, Old Bones asks for all rest opportunities, and Petal Collector asks for all vignettes. They need separate checks. Finding one memory does not prove the complete set is finished, and sitting down during a story scene does not prove every optional rest has been used.

Begin with the bedroom photography task

Snooping Shutterbug belongs to the opening room. Take the time to photograph the curious objects there before photographing Alfred outside the window and progressing. The bedroom sequence includes the camera manual, the teddy bear on the bed, photographs around the desk, and the calendar. Work around the room deliberately rather than taking several pictures of the same object.

This is also where you can recognize the difference between free photography and a photograph that advances the scene. Alfred posing outside the window is a progression subject. The objects inside the room are the achievement search. Once you have photographed the room's objects, continue with the requested shot; taking the progression photograph first is the avoidable mistake.

Make Karl's Pump 'n' Mart a full exploration stop

The main shopping list includes cookies, windshield wipers, and a road atlas. Pick up the basket and search the store before paying. Shopaholic asks for everything, so do not leave after collecting only the required supplies. The additional shopping opportunities include chips, canned goods, an air freshener, a shirt, and a sticker.

Patience Of A Saint changes how you perform the shopping interactions. Milton speaks when you examine the road atlas and the windshield wipers. Let him finish before taking those items. Interrupting the sales pitch is different from merely collecting the correct products; buying the entire list does not substitute for listening patiently.

Chrono Selfie is another task at this stop. Its condition is a selfie with Milton, not a normal photograph of the cashier. It can be addressed when you return through chapter replay if you did not know about selfie mode during the first visit. This makes it a useful focused cleanup task instead of a reason to restart the whole story.

The gas-station section also contains two vignette opportunities and two rest opportunities. Check the exterior as well as the store interior. A shopping-focused visit can miss both the surrounding paths and an available seat even while the required purchases are complete.

Treat the diner as more than a meal stop

Highway Star Diner contains two more vignettes and three of the six rest opportunities on the completion route. Make room for exploration around the buildings and outdoor seating before focusing entirely on Audrey's flowers, the jukebox, and the reserved booth.

Hatless involves taking a nap and losing Alfred's hat. The rest and hat sequence overlap, so completing the optional nap is useful for more than one goal. Later, when the diner task sends you to investigate the mess outside, continue that sequence rather than assuming sitting down alone has finished every related interaction.

Photography remains relevant here, but the required diner picture and an optional vignette are different kinds of progress. Follow the main booth photograph when prompted, and separately complete the petal searches you encounter around the location. Check both before moving on to the next stretch of the road trip.

Finish the smaller challenges around Sam

Stupid Thing! concerns the broken kitchen drawer in Sam's house. The interaction is repeated: close it, leave the kitchen so it opens again, and repeat until you have closed it five times. Merely inspecting the drawer is not the same as completing that sequence.

Green Thumb asks you to beat Sam at watering her plants. Follow your side of the gardening route efficiently and refill at the faucet if you run out of water. The story can continue through the repair work, but the achievement asks for the competitive result rather than simply participating in the gardening activity.

Make A Wish belongs to the shooting-star moment at the road camp. When the choice appears, select an option promptly. This is a timing task, so it deserves attention when the scene occurs; it is not another object to search for afterward.

Give the resort a separate completion pass

Captain Marley & The Buccaneers' Retreat combines several independent goals in one area. Search the notes and newspaper clippings that explain the resort's collapse for Scallyrat Roberts. There are eight in the completion route, and they should be collected before you leave for the boat.

The bolt cutter opens the locked spaces used by the main objectives and additional exploration. Before the boat departure, revisit the entrance area and the accessible locked space for Marley's bobblehead. The Plundered Plumage is about finding that specific object, not collecting the mascot tickets from the souvenir shop.

Play Guardian Lord and beat the arcade record rather than leaving after a failed attempt that nevertheless clears the story objective. Start three rounds of fetch with Doggo for Olympic-Level Stick Thrower. Finally, when using the boat, complete a full 360-degree spin for Bowside 360 before concentrating only on reaching the island.

This location also contains the final three vignettes and the last rest opportunity in the six-stop route. Those are separate from the papers, arcade, bobblehead, fetch rounds, and boat movement. Keep a short checklist so finding one collectible type does not make you overlook the others.

Complete the late-game interaction conditions

At Winslow Lighthouse, It's A Bird, It's A Plane, It's Doggo asks for Doggo instead of the bird's nest. Lower the camera toward the dog during the relevant photography sequence. A well-framed nest picture does not satisfy the achievement's deliberately different subject.

During the climb toward Williamina Peak, Shaun and Jason requires at least 30 calls for Doggo. Make those calls while the search interaction is available, rather than pushing through the climb so quickly that you leave yourself too few opportunities. The requirement counts calls, not simply finding the dog at the end of the search.

The epilogue contains World's Largest Mosaic Pumpkin Collection. Search the house and inspect Audrey's mosaic pumpkins before finishing the final domestic sequence. There are seven in the completion route, spread across the office, hallway, bathroom, stairwell, and living and dining areas.

Check the remaining photography goals after the story

Focus Finder requires 25 photos, Picture Perfect requires 50, and Self-Portrait Photography requires 10 selfies. These counters are distinct from the pictures you choose to keep in the journal. Selecting a few favorite photographs for an album is not an instruction to capture only that many during the entire game.

When the story is finished, use chapter select for a focused return to a photographic location or Milton's store. Check which achievement is missing before taking more pictures: a normal photo will not replace the specific selfie with Milton, and a selfie total will not replace a missed room object. Match the next action to the remaining requirement, then check the platform achievement list for completion.
