Forever Ago memory locations include two vignette areas at Karl's Pump 'N' Mart, two around the Highway Star Diner, and three at Captain Marley & The Buccaneers' Retreat. Look for the playground, mosaic pumpkin, motel pool, diner terrace, resort statue, photo cutout, and harbor platforms. Inspect the local petals, find where they gather after the vignette unlocks, and use the camera to reveal the memory.
This guide concerns optional petal vignettes. The main-story memories at the shop checkout, diner window, boat ride, and lighthouse are a different set of scene transitions. Finishing those story scenes does not by itself establish that you found the optional memories listed here.
Memory landmark checklist
| Road stop | Vignette name | Landmark to recognize | Visible local count |
|---|---|---|---|
| Karl's Pump 'N' Mart | Fun & Colors | Swings, picnic table, blue slide and sandpit | Three petals |
| Karl's Pump 'N' Mart | The World's Largest Mosaic Pumpkin | Giant pumpkin and its information board | Follow the live counter |
| Highway Star Diner | The Morning After | Motel pool, steps, umbrella and slide | Two petals |
| Highway Star Diner | Seeking Shelter | Diner terrace stairs and glass entrance | Two petals |
| Buccaneers' Retreat | Farewell Forever, Marley | Graffiti-marked area and large pirate statue | Two petals |
| Buccaneers' Retreat | It's Tradition | Pirate photo cutout and nearby benches | Three petals |
| Buccaneers' Retreat | Responsible Adults | Harbor building and wooden platforms | Three petals |
The names are useful because the game displays them during collection. Treat each name as its own local task. A petal from one memory does not finish the count for another, even when two clusters are close together in the same road stop.
Fun & Colors at the gas-station playground
Search around the swings near the playground. The Fun & Colors counter appears as you inspect the petals. Continue toward the picnic table beside the wooden fence, then check the blue slide and sandpit. These three pieces of equipment give you a compact route around the same pocket.

The slide is especially useful as an endpoint because it stands above the lower sandpit. If you have two petals and cannot find the remaining interaction, check the ground around that equipment instead of walking back into the store. The memory belongs to the playground, not to a shelf inside the mart.
After the third petal, follow the instruction to find where the petals gather. Walk to the gathering point and complete the memory's camera interaction. Do not stop at the unlock message. That message tells you that the next stage is available, while the photograph reveals the vignette.
A picture of the playground alone is a personal photograph. To complete this memory, use the named petal sequence and its gathering point. The distinction matters if you took an attractive shot of the slide before collecting the petals and assumed the memory was already recorded.
The World's Largest Mosaic Pumpkin beside the display
The giant mosaic pumpkin is the second gas-station landmark. Find the information board beside it and inspect the petals on the ground. Search the accessible edge of the pumpkin display until the named vignette unlocks, then locate the gathered petals for the camera interaction.

Keep the board and sculpture as your orientation points. They identify the area more reliably than a direction such as left or right, which changes depending on the side you approached from. The pictured petal prompt is near the board, while the unlock state is shown beside the large pumpkin.
This is a separate memory from Fun & Colors. If you have just completed the playground, the pumpkin area's new name tells you that you have started a different local cluster. Do not combine their counters or conclude that the sculpture is merely a scenic extension of the same vignette.
The sculpture's name also should not be confused with small mosaic pumpkins found elsewhere in the story. Here you are seeking a specific optional memory around the large display outside the mart. Follow the petal prompt rather than searching the shop for every pumpkin-shaped object.
The Morning After at the motel swimming pool
At the Highway Star Diner stop, search the motel pool area for The Morning After. One location is around the steps and raised edge near the striped umbrella. The other is beside the pool slide and green fence, close to the pool rules board. The local counter is two petals.

Use the pool furniture to divide the search. Check the steps and umbrella side first, then the slide and fence side. Keeping to those landmarks prevents the search from expanding into the entire motel grounds when only one part of the local cluster remains.
Once both interactions are complete, locate the gathered petals and reveal the vignette. The pool is the present-day setting for the search; the camera interaction brings out the memory. Simply photographing the empty pool from the parking lot does not replace the gathering-point action.
The Morning After is distinct from the main diner memory later triggered through the booth window. You can pursue the pool vignette while exploring the outside area, before the restaurant access task reaches its final photograph.
Seeking Shelter at the diner approach
Seeking Shelter has a two-petal cluster around the diner terrace and entrance. Check the exterior stairs leading onto the terrace. Then inspect the glass-door area, recognizable from the exit sign above it and the membership sign beside the door.
The entrance picture shows the petal response near the doorway threshold, beside the yellow floor sign. Look low at the walking surface instead of aiming only at the restaurant's large windows and menus. The first terrace petal and the second entrance petal belong to the same named memory.
After the unlock message, find where the petals gather and use the camera. Entering the diner is not by itself the completion signal. The building entrance helps you find the cluster, but the vignette is resolved by its own interaction.
If you are working on Maddy's request at the same time, keep the two tasks separate. Seeking Shelter belongs to the petal trail around the front approach. The dog photograph belongs to the rubbish area behind the diner. A successful dog picture does not indicate whether you revealed this memory.
Farewell Forever, Marley around the resort statue
At Captain Marley & The Buccaneers' Retreat, locate the overgrown, graffiti-marked area and the large pirate statue. Farewell Forever, Marley has two petals. One pictured interaction sits near the graffiti-covered wall; the other is around the statue's base beside the curved fountain edge and bench.

The large statue is the strongest landmark for the second part of the search. Walk the accessible ground near its base, including the planted edge, rather than looking for another small pirate ornament inside the shop. The memory name and local counter distinguish this cluster from other petal trails at the resort.
When the vignette unlocks, remain in the statue area long enough to locate the gathering point and finish the camera action. The resort has several tasks competing for attention, including locks, an arcade, and the harbor. Do not let the next story objective carry you away from a memory that is unlocked but not yet revealed.
This optional vignette is not the full story explanation of the resort's condition. Reading notes and exploring buildings are separate interactions. For this memory location, the supported route is the graffiti area, statue base, gathered petals, and camera reveal.
It's Tradition near the pirate photo cutout
Look for the painted pirate cutout with a face opening. It's Tradition uses three petals around this area. The first pictured response is beside the cutout; the second is near a short wall and small sign; the final pictured unlock is beside a bench in the same overgrown pocket.

Use the surrounding benches, low walls, and round-topped lamps to keep track of the local space. These repeated resort features can look similar, so begin at the distinctive face cutout and work around the adjacent furniture instead of searching every bench on the property.
The face opening makes an obvious photography subject, but the optional vignette still follows the petal sequence. A picture taken for fun at the cutout is not equivalent to revealing It's Tradition. Watch the named counter and then follow the instruction to find the gathered petals.
When the third interaction unlocks the vignette, check the nearby gathering point before heading to another resort building. This keeps the cluster together as one finished task and avoids having to remember which of several benches was associated with an incomplete memory.
Responsible Adults around the harbor platforms
Responsible Adults belongs to the waterfront buildings and wooden platforms. Its three-petal route is shown beside the harbor building with a life ring, along the waterside platform, and near the short steps beside a bench, green bin, and another life ring.

Use the water as the area boundary. The pictured locations are on the accessible structures around the harbor, not on a distant island. Check the wooden walking surfaces, the small platform edge, and the short stairs while you remain ashore.
The last petal unlocks the vignette. Find the gathering point and reveal it before boarding the boat for the story journey. The boat ride triggers a separate main-story memory with Audrey, so it is a poor substitute for checking whether Responsible Adults is actually finished on the shore.
If the resort's harbor route is still locked, continue its required exploration until the bolt cutter lets you open the relevant access. Do not mistake an inaccessible platform for a camera-framing problem. First reach the area, then complete its petal and vignette actions.
Verify the memory before leaving its landmark
Use three states for every entry: petals incomplete, vignette unlocked, and memory revealed through the camera. The on-screen fraction helps with the first state. The unlock message opens the second. The gathering-point camera interaction completes the third.
When a memory seems missing, check the state you actually reached. An incomplete count calls for a local ground search. An unlocked vignette calls for finding the gathered petals. A camera interaction that has already shown the scene does not call for restarting the search merely because a platform notification is delayed.
Finish each cluster before crossing to another landmark. The seven entries above provide named locations and visible cues; they do not establish an exact universal petal total or a new coordinate system. Follow the counter and current interaction for the memory in front of you, and leave the location only after resolving the stage you intended to complete.
